As you may know, Athens has a plethora of activities and festivities throughout the beautiful fall season.  Maybe so many that it can be hard to choose what to do at times.  In hopes of making your fall planning a little easier, we've rounded out some things you should be sure to check off your list to have the best-ever fall here in Athens.  Enjoy!

Stop by the Jittery Joe's Roaster on Barber Street for an educational tour about coffee roasting.  Rumor has it you'll get to have a cup of the freshest-roasted coffee ever, too.  Take a break from the norm and learn just how Athens' local coffee keeps us all caffeinated day in and day out. Also, stay tuned as 1000 Faces Coffee makes a home Downtown this fall.

Love dogs? Love dogs dressed up in costumes even more? Bring your dog along to participate or simply watch this dog costume parade take place, as it is sure to be entertaining and adorable.  With 125 registered pups and over 1,000 humans, it's sure to be a doggone good time.

As all Athenians probably know, ringing the chapel bell on UGA's North Campus is a pleasure like no other. Find a reason to ring the bell this fall and just do it! You deserve it.

What better time to visit the State Botanical Garden of Georgia located right on South Milledge Avenue than during this beautiful time of year? Take a picnic and make a day of it.  There are few things prettier than the changing leaves!

Make some time to visit the Athens Farmers Market on a Wednesday afternoon at Creature Comforts or a Saturday morning at Bishop Park.  With fresh and local produce and goods available weekly, you are sure to find the best of this season's offerings.

A classic tradition, but one you just can't pass up: visiting a pumpkin patch.  Luckily, Athens has one of the best in the business.  The Milledge Avenue Baptist Church, sometimes called "The Pumpkin Patch Church", is where it's at when it comes to pumpkins.  Go with a group of friends and pick one out, you know you want to!

What better time to enjoy some local music than when the weather cools and you can enjoy an evening on the Rooftop prior to some tunes?  There is plenty of music at the Georgia Theatre this fall, so be sure to make it over there.

There's something even more fun about breweries when it gets to be fall - and it has everything to do with the weather.  Enjoy the cooler temperatures with a group of friends and a cold brew at Creature Comforts.
