Athens has become a hotbed of local entrepreneurs turning out wonderful food products; a fact that is apparent in local restaurant menus and is now recognized in the Flavor of Georgia Food Product Contest with four local finalists.

The Flavor of Georgia contest showcases delicious, original market-ready prototypes or commercially available food products. Each is judged on flavor, Georgia theme, unique or innovative qualities, commercial appeal, potential market volume and use of locally sourced products.
