2024 marks the 25th year of the Athens to Savannah Ride! Gravel cyclists roll out of Athens on Thursday, October 17th for the 4-day ride to Savannah. Each day takes riders to a new destination on courses through rural Georgia. Gravel riders can expect amazing terrain - from the red clay of the hilly Piedmont region to the sandy soils of the Coastal Plain. Road cyclists can opt for the 3-day option, departing Athens on October 18th and finishing in Savannah on October 20th.

Athens to Savannah Ride is a fundraiser for the 501(c)3 nonprofit Georgia Hi-Lo Trail Inc.
Option 1: Road Ride
- 3 day, 285-mile (or 307 miles century option) fully supported road ride
- Ride 1, 2, or all 3 days
- Friday through Sunday, October 18-20, starting in Athens at the Firefly Trail via E Broad Street Trail Head
Option 2: Gravel Ride
- 4 day, 285-miles
- Ride 1, 2, 3 or all 4 days, fully supported!
- Terrain includes approximately 70% gravel and dirt roads and 30% connected paved roads.

About the Georgia Hi-Lo Trail
Funds raised from the ride are used to support the mission of the Georgia Hi-Lo Trail and initiatives to drive economic development through connectivity and empowerment of Georgia's rural communities. Upon completion of the 211-mile Georgia Hi-Lo Trail from Union Point to Savannah, the Hi-Lo Trail will connect to the 39-mile Firefly Trail from Union Point to Athens and together form the longest paved trail in America, connecting small Georgia towns, from Athens to Savannah through the paved, road separated path and creating opportunities for growth and economic development.
