My Athens & Terrapin Beer Co. are teaming up for a belated celebration of the release of Terrapin's Watermelon Gose this summer! Join us for an afternoon of wallowing in everything a late Georgia summer has to offer -- juicy melons, juicy beer and a good excuse to let the kids splash around in the sun.
This event will feature not only chefs but other local food folk offering a creation made with local watermelons, purchased from our farmer friends. We'll also be decking out the Terrapin lawn with a misting station and other fun water elements to keep everyone cool. Treehouse Kid & Craft will also be there, leading a children's art activity, so bring the kids!
Don't worry, the event is indoor-outdoor, so you can cool off at the misting station or just go sit in the AC in the taproom.
Participating restaurants include Seabear, The Place, Ideal Bagel, Catch 22, The Savory Spoon, Panaderia Tacuari. Terrapin will be providing watermelon shandy stations, a unique cask beer and offering 16 different beers to sample.
A portion of proceeds from ticket sales for our Watermelon Party will benefit the Athens Farmers Market and the West Broad Farmers Market.
Admission is free for children 12 and under. Admission for 13+ ranges from $20-35
