Athens, Ga., June 22, 2026 – Visit Athens GA is once again spotlighting the destination’s celebrated culinary scene with the return of Athens Restaurant Week, taking place July 13-19, 2026. Throughout the week, over 70 participating restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and bars across Athens will offer special prix-fixe menus, featured dishes, beer flights and sweet treats, giving diners the opportunity to explore the city’s diverse flavors at special prices.

“Athens Restaurant Week has become one of our favorite ways to celebrate the local businesses and culinary talent that make Athens so special,” said Katie Williams, executive director of Visit Athens GA. “From elevated dining experiences and globally inspired cuisine to longtime local staples, Athens offers something for every kind of diner. Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to try somewhere new while continuing to support the restaurants and hospitality teams that help shape the city’s culture.”

Just 60 miles northeast of Atlanta, Athens continues to earn recognition as one of the South’s most exciting food destinations. The city’s dining scene blends creativity, community and local flavor, with award-winning chefs, neighborhood gathering spots and independently owned concepts contributing to its distinct character.

This year’s lineup includes a mix of returning favorites and newer additions to Athens’ restaurant scene. Participating partners include nationally recognized restaurants such as Puma Yu’s, where Chef Pete Amadhairundr was named a James Beard Award semifinalist, alongside local favorites including Five & Ten, Osteria Olio, Bar Bruno, Seabear Oyster Bar, The National and The Place. Diners can also experience beloved community staples such as White Tiger Gourmet, Rashe’s Cuisine, Trappeze Pub, Last Resort Grill and The Rook & Pawn.

Athens Restaurant Week will also highlight the destination’s growing craft beverage scene, with participating breweries, distilleries and coffee shops including Athentic Brewing Company, Oak House Distillery, Sunroof Coffee and 1000 Faces Coffee. Visitors looking to continue exploring Athens’ beverage culture can also check out the Athens Beer Trail, a self-guided experience connecting several of the city’s local breweries.

New this year, Visit Athens GA will support and celebrate the city’s downtown business community through Eat the Town, Shop the Block, an after-hours shopping and dining experience held during Athens Restaurant Week. On Thursday, July 16, from 5-8 p.m., shoppers and diners can explore downtown Athens while discovering new favorites and supporting the local businesses that help define the city’s character. Participating retailers will offer extended hours and special promotions, creating a lively evening that complements Restaurant Week offerings throughout downtown.
